Tomasz had been learning Italian for several years through various courses, self-study, and other tutors. However, he felt his language skills were quite chaotic and wanted to organize his abilities and advance from an intermediate to a proficient level.

Process

At Partout Languages, Tomasz met Monika, our Italian language expert. Monika, after analyzing Tomasz’s strengths and weaknesses, implemented a teaching program focused on developing advanced language awareness. In their first lesson, they set a common goal – the advanced CELI certificate; setting such an ambitious plan resulted in a high level of motivation for Tomasz. The lessons then focused on three pillars:

Self-study programme after classes: reading and listening to challenging texts and podcasts, linguistic analysis of these materials, and discussing them during lessons,
Writing essays on problematic topics, enhancing eloquence and the ability to construct complex written responses,
In-depth grammar sessions and comprehensive analysis of Italian grammar topics at the C1/C2 level.

After

After studying at Partout, Tomasz passed the CELI 4 (C1) certificate with an excellent score. Thanks to increased language awareness and numerous exercises, Tomasz can finally say he speaks Italian fluently, watches Italian films, and can read novels in Italian – he is currently enjoying one of his favorite novels in its original language, “Il nome della rosa.”

Step 3: Trial Lesson

During your first lesson, our teacher will get to know you, assess your level, and guide you through some language exercises to showcase our methodology. This will help us set initial goals and create a plan for your first month of classes. Are you excited yet?

Step 4: The First Month

During the first month, you’ll try out different techniques and methods with our teacher to see what works best for you. By the end of the month, you can set long-term goals. Based on these goals, the teacher will create a detailed curriculum just for you.
We guarantee that after the first month, you will notice significant progress in the language as well as in your approach to learning!

Step 5: What’s next?

After the first month, you can choose to continue working with us in three options: Month-to-month, 3 months, 1 year.
