Ariel’s experience with Partout Languages: From B1 to C1

If you know that life in France is nothing like the idyllic world of Emily in Paris, as the French often ignore you rather than switching to English, imagine working on part of a PhD at a French law school. That was my case.

Process

If you think French teachers mostly focus on correcting pronunciation [are you sure that you know how to pronounce croissant correctly?] then you definitely haven’t met Maciej from Partout Languages! In just 8 months, I progressed from a weak B1 level to a solid C1, using French daily in my work. And all of this happened thanks to intensive language classes 2-3 times a week, which I found remarkable mostly because of:

a quick review of B1 grammar in two weeks,
no homework (something I never liked, and as a lecturer, I never practiced),
warm-ups – starting with conversations on various topics, which in the end became shorter but always fruitful.

The learning process was tailored to my goals. Initially, I just wanted to refresh my French and reach B2 level in 2-3 months. Then, within three months, I aimed for a solid C1 level. Finally, after receiving a job offer in the Legal Service of the European Parliament, I needed even greater linguistic precision, which took another two months.

After

Today, instead of enjoying recognizing that France Gall doesn’t sing “Ella” twice in the song, I work in French on cases heard before the Court of Justice of the European Union.

During the first month, you’ll try out different techniques and methods with our teacher to see what works best for you. By the end of the month, you can set long-term goals. Based on these goals, the teacher will create a detailed curriculum just for you.
We guarantee that after the first month, you will notice significant progress in the language as well as in your approach to learning!

Step 5: What’s next?

After the first month, you can choose to continue working with us in three options: Month-to-month, 3 months, 1 year.
